Mixed Feelings for the People of Ukpo and Isuaniocha as ACTDA again demonstrates zero tolerance for shanties and structures under 330kva high tensions and obstruction of access roads.
The Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) has once again achieved a milestone in line with Anambra State’s agenda by successfully carrying out demolition exercise at Ukpo and Isuaniocha in the capital territory of our dear Anambra.

The government had earlier issued several warnings to individuals involved through ACTDA to pull down these structures and vacate the areas but unfortunately these warnings fell on deaf ears, leaving the agency with no option than to do the needful for restoration of sanity, safety, law and order.
Recall that one of Governor Soludo’s major transformational agenda is to ensure the safety and security of lives and properties of Ndi Anambra and to build a livable, prosperous, smart mega city.
On August, 4 2023 the ACTDA enforcement team matched first to Ukpo and pulled down structures erected under 330kva high tension which has also blocked major access roads for Fifty-Two (52) long years and afterwards began the demolition of shanties at Isu Junction which has become a habitation for hoodlums hereby defacing the capital territory.
Although affected individuals felt bad about the exercise, but majority of the communities involved thanked and praised the Governor for his good works and for saving them from looming environmental danger.
