Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has been granted bail by a federal capital territory high court in Maitama, Abuja. This decision came as a result of a bail application filed by the former CBN governor.

Presiding judge Olukayode Adeniyi delivered the ruling, ordering the federal government to release Emefiele to his lawyers. However, there are conditions attached to the bail. Emefiele is to be produced for arraignment whenever required, and he is also required to deposit his international passport with the court.
