It was a spectacular moment at the Awka City Township Stadium last weekend, Sunday, 6th of August 2023 as Noble FC of Onitsha Sent the Home side, Peace FC packing by a lone goal to nill to pick up a place for the finals of the All Stars competition.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the match, the head coach of De Noble FC of Onitsha, Mr. Benjamin Chukwudi Odedo while describing their qualification as amazing stated that his team had earlier on been written off the competition due to a very poor and discouraging start from the beginning of the tournament.
He noted that alot of technical work was put in place in the team to give the advantage that brought about the days victory.
“Certainly we are going home with the trophy, he affirmed.”
Mr. Benjamin also pointed out the need for Ndi Anambra both at home and in diaspora to support Governor Soludo’s policies and programs on youth development and empowerment and noted that Anambra State will be the giant of Nigeria and Africa if the Solution Agenda is fully implemented.
Also speaking, the manager, Noble FC Onitsha, Chief Emeka Chukwudebelu while expressing his happiness also affirmed that the journey to the qualification started from the beginning of the tournament. He equally express hope of taking home the trophy, and noted that the major aim of the Anambra FA has been achieved.

He commended the Anambra FA Chairman and the Governor for striving to revive football In Anambra and called on football lovers and other stakeholders to respond to the think home call and encouraged others to follow suit noting that Ndi Anambra have a duty to develop their home state especially in the sector of football.
In his separate remarks, the State Chairman, Young People’s Party, Prince Moses Obi while applauding the Anambra FA for the ongoing efforts in transforming and revitalizing the sport sector defined Anambra as an industrious and fast developing state whose position in the sport development of Nigeria and the world over cannot be overemphasized.
According to Prince Obi, investing in Football in Anambra State is not only about generating revenue for government but also creating a direct positive impact on the economic growth of the state and the youths as most tournament offers the opportunity to positively engage the youths and other sport lovers, thereby fighting Insecurity and joblessness.
He noted that the Governor Soludo is doing everything possible to enthrone an investment friendly environment with his fight against insecurity, power projects and environment sustainability programs as top of the day agenda.
Prince Obi went further to commend Governor Soludo for his achievements so far in every sectors especially on road infrastructure and encouraged him to sustain the tempo and reemphasize the need for Ndi Anambra living outside the homeland to invest in Football in Anambra and call on stakeholders and the government to key into the football sector to harvest every benefits accrued to the lucrative career development sector.
