Members of the Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora Foundation (OCI) has today Thursday, 20th July 2023 sued for collaboration with the management of the Anambra Broadcasting Service to host an awareness campaign for breast and cervical cancer in Anambra.
Speaking in a brief meeting at the ABS complex in Awka, the OCI Foundation, Media Consultant, Dr. Njide Ezeonyejiaku stated that the Dr. Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora Foundation (OCI) is a non profit and non governmental organization saddled with the sole responsibility of promoting good health, education and social well-being of the Nigerian citizens.
She commended the ABS Boss for his support and pledge continuos support to help the station expand her horizon in reaching out more to the target group in Anambra for the enlightenment, sensitization and awareness campaign of the dreaded illment.
Also speaking, the OCI State Domestic Laison Officer, Mrs. Emelda Emeka while appreciating the ABS management for her assurance of continous partnership gave a brief history of the establishment stated that the organization was founded by Prof. Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora in Anambra State, Nigeria in 2016. She went further to state that the group had before now being known for her educational scholarship programs before her recent engagement in the anti cancer campaign scheme.
She emphasized on the vision of the group, ” Arm Our Youth Health Campaign,” an Anti Cancer Campaign for breast and cervical cancer and requested for more expanded collaboration to help educate, enlighten and sensitize the entire Ndi Anambra on the signs, symptoms and also dangers associated with the breast and cervical cancer disease.
Lending his voice, the Founder and Executive Converner, Ozioma Igbo, Mazi Obi Nwoye emphasized the need to promote the culture of, speaking, reading and writing in Igbo amongst children in secondary schools.
He noted that getting the children to master the act of speaking, reading and writing in Igbo will go a long way in promoting and preserving our cultural heritage and values system and also help the groups in achieving greater success in her anti breast and cervical cancer awareness campaign especially in the rural areas. He however called for a well organized competition aimed at encouraging and project the course amidst the young folks.
Contributing, the Head of Television of the ABS, Mrs. Ify Unachukwu while acknowledging the various efforts of the group undertaken by the OCI and Otu Suwakwa Igbo in impacting good moral values in the society on behalf of the station assured more solid collaboration for wider coverage and also achievement of the agenda of the various groups.

Responding, the MD ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu while welcoming the group affirmed his commitment to continous partnership, noting that ABS shares the same value system with the foundation.
According to him, the call for continuous collaboration is a welcome development Gov Soludo Resonate the fact that we all belong to one race, which is humanity. investing humongously in every sector that will better the wellbeing of Ndi Anambra.
“What OCI Foundation is working in tandem to the social agenda of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo people’s manifesto, he added.”
He however promised to do everything possible to partner with relevant agencies on any vision aimed at elevating the living standard of Ndi Anambra and the entire human race.
