Anambra State Police Command has commended residents of the state for their supportive role to the command by way of furnishing it with reliable intelligent information.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga gave the commendation while speaking with the News Nigeria in his office at Amawbia, Awka South council area.
Mr Ikenga who explained how reliable information they get from Ndi Anambra has been helping the police in carrying out their mandate of ensuring protection of life and property of the state residents, urged them to sustain it.
Speaking on behalf of the command, Mr Ikenga assured the state residents to go about their legitimate business without fear of molestation, saying that the preventive policing of the command as well as collaborative efforts of sister security agencies have brought about improved security in Anambra State which can be felt by all.

To confirm this assurance, the News Nigeria went around Awka capital city, through Amawbia Okpuno,Isuaniocha, and Mgbakwu and observed that people were indeed going about their daily activities.
Markets, banks, offices among others were opened to business.
At a daily market in Mgbakwu community, traders and buyers were busy with their business where Miss Nkiruka Obiajulu appreciated the state government for its developmental strides in the state and appealed for its assistance to provide the market with receptacles to enable them effectively cart away refuse.
