In preparation for the one year anniversary of the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) has stormed Awka-Etiti, Nnobi and Nnokwa as she engaged stakeholders, pleads for partnership.
Council boss who was accompanied by Hon. Uche Maduekwe, Hon. Tony Omaka, Barrister Chibuike Ezeike, Hon. Evaristus Omega, Chief Kizito Nwakaibie and councilors said democracy thrive more at grassroot level of governance. She stated that the council secretariat had been working closely with the people and has engaged on projects and programmes that added value to the lives of residents of the council area.
She commended the leaders of Awka-Etiti, Nnobi and Nnokwa for their support since she took the mantle of leadership and pleaded for partnership as she is set to celebrate her one year anniversary in the council secretariat.
In their separate remarks, Ichie Inno Anoliefo said that Hon. Amaka Obi has done alot for Awka-Etiti and he believes that she has alot of upcoming projects for Awka-Etiti and Idemili South.
While DPG Nnobi aforesaid, since Hon. Amaka Obi was appointed, there is difference in Idemili South and promised that Nnobi are strongly behind her, while Ichie Udoka lauded council boss for the massive infrastructures in the council area.
Prime Minister of Nnokwa, Chief R. C. Okelu maintained that what a man can do, a woman will do better, stating that Idemili South residents are witnessing good governance since Hon. Amaka Obi was inaugurated.
Vote of Appreciation was given by Ugochinyere Nwata who commended Hon. Obi for taking time out of her busy schedule for the sake of more development in the area.
